People will be able to vote from 7.30am to 6pm on 14th November, 2018 which is election day.

While highlighting the time-line for the general elections after the issuance of the Writ Of Elections, Electoral Commission Chairman, Suresh Chandra says the candidate nominations will open from 8am tomorrow and will close at 12pm on the 15th of this month.

Chandra says that nominations can be withdrawn by 12pm on the 16th of this month and the objections and appeal against nominations to be closed by 4pm on the 16th of this month.

Chandra says that the National Candidates Number Ball Draw will be on the 19th of this month or earlier as determined by the Fijian Elections Office.

He says postal voting applications are now open and will close at 5pm on the 24th of this month.

The Chairman highlights that on the 5th of November, pre-poll voting in designated areas of the country will begin and will finish on the 10th of November.

The media blackout on campaigning will start at 7.30am on the 12th of November.
