The Fiji Men’s 7s Rugby side is through to the semi finals of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games Rugby 7s Competition after coming from behind to beat Ireland 19-15 this morning.

Fiji started strong with a converted try to Iosefo Masi in the first minute of the match to lead 7-0, but the Irish side came back firing to score two tries through Chay Mullin and Mark Roche.

Ireland led 10-7 at halftime.

Zac Ward crossed over the try line to put Ireland’s lead further to 15-5.

However, the Fijians were not finished as they rallied back and managed to score two tries to put them ahead of the Irish side.

Ireland held the ball in the final minutes, but they could not score as Fiji’s defence stood tall at the end.

In the other quarter finals, South Africa beat New Zealand 14-7, and France defeated Argentina 26-14.
