Minister for Housing Premila Kumar and SODELPA MP Lynda Tabuya

Minister for Housing Premila Kumar says the National Fire Authority has never received any payment for the cost incurred in attending to any uninsured property fire while SODELPA MP Lynda Tabuya claims they have charged a family in Makoi.

Kumar says she wanted to correct these claims by Tabuya.

She says this Makoi family did not pay a single cent to NFA.

Tabuya then raised a point of order and said this family had confirmed to her that they have paid.

Minister Kumar says from their side, NFA confirmed that there was a fire incident in Makoi and they did attend to it but there was no charge to the family.
