New winner in the Escott Shield this year after Army Green loses to RKS Old Boys

There will be a new champion in the Digicel Escott Shield Competition this year after the RKS Old Boys team beat defending champions Army Green 17-12.

In the other quarter-final matches Police Blue led by National 7s reps, Terio Tamani and Suliano Volivoli overcame Fire Wardens 39-29 while the Covenant Brothers/ Sisters Sports Ministry beat QVS Old Boys Rugby Club 25-3.

Meanwhile in the Digicel Koroturaga Cup Competition, Freshet Navy were lucky to escape with a narrow 17-14 win over DHL Raiwaqa White while the Lomaiviti Black beat Navakavu 1 20-15 in sudden death.

The Eastern Saints Rugby beat the West Coast Drifters Rugby Club 13-5 while the Kalekana Rugby Club beat Wainibuka Cavaliers 13-8.
