Thousands of Nasinu residents are expected to converge for a weeklong festival as the biggest event for the town kicks off this Saturday.
The Nasinu Satellite Carnival which used to be held at the Valelevu Ground is now being held at Nasinu Sangam School in Narere and this is the only carnival held in Nasinu every year.
Carnival coordinator Sada Sivan Naicker said this year their aim is to raise $35,000 in aid of the school which as a roll of 750 students.
The carnival has 17 preschool and primary school queens vying for the Miss Satellite crown.
