SODELPA MP Salote Radrodro

SODELPA MP Salote Radrodro is currently giving evidence in her trial and has stated that Namulomulo Village is her forever home.

Radrodro is alleged to have falsely stated that her permanent place of residence was in Namulomulo village, Nabouwalu, Bua and allegedly obtained $37,920.13 between August 2019 and April 2020.

While giving her evidence, Radrodro told the court that she lodged the first MP Declaration Form in December 2018 and in the form her permanent residence was Tacirua Heights.

She informed the court that the second declaration form was lodged on June 2019 and in that form her place of residence was Namulomulo village, Nabouwalu, Bua.

When asked by her lawyer why she listed Namulomulo as her residence, Radrodro says after the revising of the parliamentary calendar for the year, she recognised there were only going to be 7 parliamentary sitting weeks.

She adds there were 45 weeks in a year of which a MP has to plan out and the only aspect to plan out was constituency visits.

Radrodro also says Namulomulo is her forever home because she met her husband there, got married there and has built a house there.

The trial continues.
