Speedster Alasio Naduva has been eyed by Worldrugby.org as one of the seven players to watch in the Vancouver 7s which kicks off tomorrow.

26-year-old has been impressive this season scoring eight tries in sixteen matches for the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team.

He has scored a total of 42 points.

Naduva was also the Hamilton’s HSBC Player of the Final.

Worldrugby.org says Naduva gets himself in great positions and can spot opportunities unlike anyone on the series.

Apart from Naduva, Coach Gareth Baber has injected some pace into the team this weekend in former Natabua High School sprinter Batinisavu Uluiyata after Jasa Veremalua has been ruled out due to a sickness and niggling injuries.

Baber is yet to select his final 12 players for the tournament.

The squad also includes Vatemo Ravouvou, Waisea Nacuqu, Amenoni Nasilasila, Jerry Tuwai, Kalione Nasoko, Mesulame Kunavula, Paula Dranisinukula, Josua Vakurunabili, Eroni Sau, Vasikali Mudu and Sevuloni Moceinacagi.

Other players to look out for in the Vancouver 7s tournament are Danny Barrett of the USA 7s team, Ben O’Odonnell of the Australia 7s team, Cecil Afrika of the South Africa 7s team, Folau Nuia of the USA 7s team, Jean Pascal Barraque of the France 7s team and Willy Ambaka of the Kenya 7s team.

Day one tickets for the Vancouver 7s have been sold out with only a handful of tickets left for Day two.

The capacity for BC Place stadium is 78,000 with 39,000 each day.

Fiji will play Spain in their first pool match at 6.36am tomorrow, they will then face France at 10.08am tomorrow before taking on Kenya at 1.40pm tomorrow.

The quarterfinals will start at 7.08am Monday, semifinals at 11.08am Monday while the final will be played at 2.19pm Monday.
