Sigatoka Town.

The Nadroga/Navosa Chamber of Commerce and Industry has raised serious concerns as to how people from containment zones such as Nadi, Lautoka, Lami, Suva and Nausori were allowed to travel to Sigatoka and Ba which are non-containment zones.

President Doctor Ashank Naidu says they potentially have COVID-19 infected people who have travelled into their safe communities.

Dr. Naidu says they can start having positive cases in the next two weeks or so.

He adds the instructions from the Permanent Secretary for Health Dr.James Fong were clear that people from containment zones could not travel to non-containment zones.

Meanwhile, Doctor Fong said he was confused why people moved from containment areas like Suva, Lami, Nausori, Ra, Nadi and Lautoka to non-containment areas as this was not allowed over the weekend.

Doctor Fong says he is concerned and these people should just self isolate and ensure that they call 158.
