Most schools to receive exam papers in electronic form

Most schools to receive exam papers in electronic form
Education Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy.

Most schools in the country will be receiving their exam papers from the Ministry of Education in electronic form from this year.

This is for students from Year seven to eleven.

Education Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy says those schools which have access to internet will receive the exam papers two hours before the start of the exam.

Reddy says the idea of preparing standardized exam papers is to ensure that every school is on the same wavelength.

He says they do not want a Year seven student in Yasawa to sit a weaker exam paper than a student from Rishikul Primary.

Reddy says they will provide hard copies of exam papers in sealed bags to those schools which do not have access to internet.

He has also confirmed that they will continue printing the external exam papers for Year 12 and 13 for the next few years.

Meanwhile, Year 8 students will sit for their external exams today and tomorow while the Year 6 students' exams will be held on Wednesday and Thursday.
