Ministry of Economy continues food distribution in lockdown and cordoned off areas

They have distributed 130 packs in Waila with the next delivery scheduled for next Tuesday.

The Ministry of Economy says it has continued to distribute ration packs to the cordoned off and lockdown areas in the Central Division today.

Coordinator Kamal Gounder says 170 packs have been distributed in Narere Stage 1 which includes 86 packs in Waidranu, 41 packs in Waitui, 28 packs in Delainariri, 6 packs in Vunibau, 2 packs in Vuniwi and 3 packs in Ucuna.

They have distributed 130 packs in Waila with the next delivery scheduled for next Tuesday.

Gounder says they will be distributing 100 packs in Tacirua, 45 in Lami and 40 in Kinoya later this afternoon.

He says they will also be looking at any other requests from Muanikoso.

Gounder says they have a schedule for the areas which are under a lockdown and they follow that schedule for ration distribution.
