Visiting captain Gonzalo Verdu was sent off in the 14th minute for pulling Lewandowski down when he was through.
Barca now sit a point above Real Madrid at the top of the table.
In other results, Mollorca edged Almeria 1-0, Valencia beat Celta Vigo 3-0 and Athletico Bilbao defeated Rayo Vallecano 3-2.
