Great news for the students of Lelean Memorial School as they will now be able to study in a good learning environment with the opening of a three-storey classroom block today by the Minister for Rural and Maritime Development, Sakiasi Ditoka.

While speaking during the opening ceremony, Ditoka says this is more than just a building — it is a statement of intent and commitment from the coalition government.

Ditoka says the investment is not only financial, but also spiritual and strategic, reflecting the government’s dedication to the future of Fijian education.

He adds that they see infrastructure not merely as concrete and steel, but as the scaffolding of opportunity for young people.

Ditoka also highlighted that the new block consists of six classrooms, each with a capacity of 40 students, along with two teacher rooms equipped with 12 desks for planning and mentorship.

Lelean Assistant Principal, Ulaiyasi Vakatawakoula says the provision of these six classrooms will enhance the learning environment for students.

Vakatawakoula also highlighted that these new classrooms will motivate students to continue learning and strive for academic success.
