All travel and accommodation costs for the Labasa Soccer team for the Pillay Garments Champion Versus Champion series will be taken care of by the Fiji Football Association through sponsorship.

Fiji FA CEO, Mohammed Yusuf says Pillay Garments has provided sponsorship worth $29,000.

He says the Labasa team received $3,500 for travel and accommodation while both teams also received $2,500 to prepare for the series.

Yusuf says Labasa has been impacted by the recent cyclones and do not have a training ground but they have been assured by the team that they have prepared well for the series.

He adds since Labasa won Courts IDC and Suva won the Vodafone Premier League, they have earned their rights to play the series.

The CEO also adds that no Southern Division team has ever won the series but Suva have the chance to win it this year.

Labasa has won the series 4 times.

Labasa takes on Suva at 7pm at the ANZ Stadium on Friday and at 3pm on Sunday.

Yusuf says there will be not be a third match and if the teams have drawn at the end of the two matches then they will be required to play extra time to determine the winner of the series.

Winner of the series gets $5,000.
