Labasa banks on Waqa’s experience

Labasa will be relying on the expertise of veteran player, Taniela Waqa to defend their Pillay Garments Champion Versus Champion series title this weekend.

Waqa had earlier announced his intention to retire at the end of the 2020 season.

Labasa Team Manager, Praveen Karan says the team will also be relying on other senior players such as Siotame Kubu, Ashnil Raju and keeper, Akuila Mateisuva.

Labasa takes on Suva at 7pm at the ANZ Stadium on Friday and at 3pm on Sunday.
