Upgrading work at Labasa Hospital will start early next year.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Sunil Chandra says the first phase of upgrading work will include renovation and extension of the general out patients unit. Chandra says the unit gets crowded due to space issues.
He says the operating theaters will also be equipped with new equipment.
