Fiji Airways Men's National 7s rep, Jerry Tuwai has been named the 2019 Fiji 7s Player of the Year at the Fiji Rugby Awards.
Tuwai was nominated with fellow Fiji 7s teammates Meli Derenalagi and Vilimoni Botitu.
He was named HSBC 7s player of the last season and also won the 2019 Fiji Sportsman of the Year Award earlier this year.
The 30-year-old is also the all time top try scorer for the Fiji 7s side after breaking Nasoni Roko's record this season.
Speaking at the awards, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama acknowledged Tuwai's achievements both locally and on the international stage.
Bainimarama says last year the world recognized what Fijians have known for years, and that is Jerry Tuwai is the greatest 7s player in the world.
