Interim PM Visits Survivors
Immediate steps are now being taken to find out the exact cause of the tragic bus accident at Malaqarere, Sigatoka last night which claimed 10 lives.

The interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama had ordered an immediate inquiry into the bus incident which is one of the worst road accidents in Fiji.

Bainimarama had also directed the interim Minister for Transport Timoci Natuva and the LTA to immediately investigate the public safety issues in the bus which was subject to the accident, as well as all other associated factors involved in the most unfortunate and tragic accident.

In the last hour, Bainimarama and Dr Jiko Luveni visited two people who were brought from the Sigatoka Hospital to the Burns Unit at the CWM Hospital in Suva.

The interim Prime Minister spoke to our News Director Vijay Narayan after visiting the accident victims at CWM and said all the necessary steps should be taken as soon as possible.
