Hurricanes Coach Jason Holland has to make a difficult choice of whether to start star forward Ardie Savea and rush Jordie Barrett to face the Crusaders this weekend.

Savea made his long awaited return to rugby against the Blues last week where they were beaten 30-20.

Holland says the sight of Savea wearing the 8 jersey against the Crusaders is more likely than Barrett who has a 50-50 chance of taking the field.

Holland says considering his lack of game time, he is torn as to whether to start Savea or keep him as an impact player for now.

He also says they do not want to risk Barrett and will make a call on it in the next few days.

The Hurricanes will take on the Crusaders at 3.35 pm this Sunday while the Blues and the Chiefs will meet at 7.05 pm Saturday.
