“Diwali is about sharing, love and care to bring peace and Unity.”
These are the words of Acting Permanent Secretary for Education Basundra Kumar while officiating as Chief Guest at the Hilton Special School Diwali celebration today.
Kumar reminded the students and parents that despite some of the hardships and struggles they go through every day, they remain as ordinary citizens of this country.
Kumar added celebrating Diwali brings a sense of togetherness and it was evident with Hindus not only celebrating the occasion as it involves the whole country and people of different ethnic backgrounds.
Meanwhile, some students of Nehru Memorial Primary School, Indira Ghandhi Memorial Primary School and Dheenbandhu Memorial School were also part of the celebrations.
