As a number of resorts and hotels have adopted the ‘Love your Locals” initiative, The Grand Pacific Hotel has reopened its Spa.

The Spa closed since March after the announcement of Fiji’s first COVID-19 case directly impacting the employment of four people.

Three of the four people who were impacted will now return to work as they are permanent staff while the fourth is a part-timer.

Acting General Manager Syresh Chandra says they will be serving customers on the basis of appointments and they will make a number of considerations before accepting walk-in customers.

He says the Spa will however operate from Thursday to Sunday and each staff will be required to work 24 hours per week.

Chandra adds none of the GPH staff have been let go but all of them are working on reduced hours.
