Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi relaunched after a major $20M refurbishment

The Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi has undergone a major $20 million refurbishment, including upgrades to the lobby, reception area, restaurant, Mint Coffee Lounge, pool area and conference facilities.

While officially relaunching the newly upgraded hotel in Nadi, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says the development is a model of partnership and shared prosperity, adding that the warmth and service offered by the hotel reflect the true spirit of Fijian hospitality.

Rabuka says tourism is not just an industry, it is a lifeline for the people and a bridge to the world.

The Prime Minister noted the sector’s resilience, with Fiji recording nearly one million visitors in 2024 and 735,154 arrivals so far in 2025—an increase of 0.2 percent from last year.

Rabuka acknowledged the Tanoa Group’s expansion efforts, including the modernisation of Tanoa Plaza in Suva and upcoming upgrades to the Tanoa Waterfront Hotel in Lautoka.

The Prime Minister also congratulated the board, management, and staff for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence, noting that their efforts have strengthened Fiji’s reputation as a world-class destination.

He highlighted tourism as a core driver of national growth, sustaining thousands of jobs and supporting a wide network of local suppliers and communities.

He praised Tanoa Hotels for operating with 100 percent local talent and for its strong focus on training, recruitment, and engagement with the Vanua.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Coalition Government’s commitment to building a sustainable and globally competitive tourism industry.
