Govt investigates $122 million wind turbine deal, due process was not followed - Kamikamica

Acting Prime Minister, Manoa Kamikamica confirms the government has started investigations into the $122 million Power Purchase Agreement, dealing with wind turbines, signed between the Ministry of Fisheries and Forestry and American company Infinite Power Clean Energy Fiji.

Kamikamica has revealed in a press conference that investigations have begun by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Energy, FCCC, Investment Fiji and Ministry of Civil Service.

The Acting Prime Minister says he wishes to advise the people of Fiji that due process has not been followed – and as such, both the agreements are unenforceable.

Kamikamica says Government Officials have discussed the Agreements and have established that certain processes were not followed.
