Fiji Television Limited now needs to show the invoices and other documentation of costs it has incurred to purchase the exclusive rights to air the HSBC IRB World 7s Series until 2015.

Following a directive from Attorney General, Public Enterprises and Communications Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Fiji Television has begun sharing the Sevens World Series with FBC TV and Mai TV, starting from the Gold Coast 7s.

He said in this way all Fijians will be able to watch the IRB 7s Series.

Sayed-Khaiyum said the Communications Ministry needs the documentation before it makes cost sharing arrangements.

He said the cost is based on the overall cost of the rights which is then divided based on the percentage of viewership the television stations have.

Sayed-Khaiyum has also clarified that neither IRB nor any of its related entities have any objections to the implementation of the Television Cross Carriage of Designated Events Decree.
