From a garage to touring the world.
That is what New Zealand band Katchafire has been able to do since they started in 1997.
Katchafire lead vocalist and guitarist Logan Bell, who is part of the eight member band, said that after hearing a live concert by Bob Marley, they decided to set up their own band.
Bell, whose father and brother are also in the band, said that they started by making a lot of noise in their garage and have since grown.
Meanwhile, Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of Legend FM, FM96, Navtarang, Radio Sargam, the Total Event Company and Fijivillage.com is bringing the group into the country for the second time this weekend.
Total Event Company's manager Loretta Jackson said that we are fortunate that Katchafire is able to fit Fiji into its busy tour schedule.
The Katchafire Redemption Tour with a tribute to Bob Marley Concert will be held this Saturday at the Vodafone Arena starting at 8pm.
Tickets are on sale at the Home of Fijivillage at 231 Waimanu Road in Suva as well as at the SPR outlets in Suva and Nadi and at the Sugarcane Growers Council building in Lautoka.
