Investigations are now underway in relation to the discovery of a fully formed foetus in a rubbish bin along Queen Elizabeth Drive, Suva.

The foetus was found in a plastic bag at around 3 this morning by a man collecting empty bottles near a children's park.

Police said this is a worrying issue as certain individuals are disregarding the value of life by carelessly disposing the body of a baby in such circumstances.

Meanwhile, the search continues for the mother of the fully formed foetus found earlier this month in Nabua.
