The Frank Hilton Organisation can now continue their operations as normal during power outages and look after the needs of children with disabilities and their families as the IHG Hotels and Resorts has donated a $20,000 generator to the organisation.

The organisation provides essential early detection and intervention services for children with disabilities and development delays.

Frank Hilton CEO Sureni Perera says it will enable them to maintain the quality of care to the residents of the Hilton Home, during power outages, especially during the cyclone season.

Perera says the care component like the special blended meals, ensuring health, hygiene, and infection prevention, and functions of nebulizers, hoists, and laundry, all require power.

She says during power outages, there is a huge disruption to services, requiring caregivers to manually manage these functions.

Perera says this is a significant strain on the caregivers and an additional cost to management for additional labor required.

She says the generator will mitigate this issue and is a timely Christmas gift to them.

Perera adds they are immensely thankful to the IHG hotels and reports team, who have been very thoughtful and accommodating during the process, and understanding their needs, and most of all, considering the needs of the children under our care.

IHG Hotels and FNPF-owned hotels General Manager Lachlan Walker of says he appreciates the help of Filter Supplier Pte Ltd for their partnership in making a difference to the Frank Hilton Organisation and the children they look after.

He says the collaboration aligns with IHG's journey to tomorrow initiatives, which commit to improving the lives of 30 million people in communities around the world.

Frank Hilton currently assists 1,000 children with disabilities and their families.

The generator donated by IHG was an immediate priority identified by the FHO team, it will enable them to maintain the quality of care for the residents of the Hilton Home during power outages, especially during the cyclone season.
