Team completes 30KM London to Bordeaux cardio challenge

Flying Fijians to play for the people of Fiji and children battling cancer

The upcoming first Rugby World Cup 2023 game against Wales next Monday will be an important one for the Fiji Water Flying Fijians as they are not only playing for the people of Fiji but for the children battling cancer in Fiji.

The team earlier announced an initiative called the 30km London to Bordeaux cardio challenge to raise funds to support WOWS Kids Fiji for children battling cancer and they have all completed their challenge.

FRU Administrator, Simione Valenitabua highlighted this during a press conference at the Fiji Rugby Union office.

Valenitabua says the Flying Fijians and the children living with cancer have connected well through the 30km Cardio Challenge, in ways to raise funds to support the children and their families.

He says many Fijians have joined the initiative to support their team to the Rugby World Cup and the children and families that are battling cancer.

Valenitabua pleads to all Fijians to support the challenge and join them as they have their fundraising drive to support the WOWs Kids Fiji initiative.

The fundraising drive is currently being held at Lawaqa Park and Churchill Park.
