Fire destroys building in Vatuwaqa

Police and the Fire Authority are investigating a fire at Lalita Bhindi street, Vatuwaqa, that completely destroyed the Cope Construction Building.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the fire happened at around 5pm yesterday.

The building was used by a 51-year-old man as a joinery workshop.

Naisoro said the cost of damage and the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
