With the third and last Fiji Airways A330 arriving this morning, the Managing Director and CEO said there is much more work to do in the next 4 to 5 years.
Stefan Pichler said they have started embarking on the road ahead and have mapped out their three strategies.
Pichler said firstly they need to build the consumer brand and the new aircraft design is just the beginning.
He said they will be reviewing all management processes and structures in all areas of their business, from maintenance to operations to commercial, finance, IT and others.
According to Pichler they will also need to build efficient, productive operations in all parts of the business to leverage the skills and experience of their management and people.
He said they need to do it themselves and not rely on external one man show consultants.
He said they need to talk and listen to the customers so that Fiji Airways becomes customer-centric.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said the third and final A330 will form the backbone of our rebranded national airline.
Commodore Bainimarama thanked the Chairman and Board of Fiji Airways for turning the airline around and making it profitable again.
The last Fiji Airways A330 touched down at the Nadi International Airport at 10am.
The Airbus has been named Island of Yasawa-I-Rara.
