Fijian Warriors beat Samoa A 29-5 in Pacific Challenge

The Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors beat Samoa A 29-5 to secure their first win in the World Rugby Pacific Challenge.

In his first game as Skipper, Tuidraki Samusamuvodre scored twice while Filimoni Savou and Anasa Qaranivalu managed to get a try each in the game.

Fiji was denied any points in the second half while Samoa managed to get a consolation try.

Fijian Warriors Coach Kele Leawere says there were a lot of basic errors made in the second spell.

He says the player did not follow the game plan given to them instead just went with the flow.

The next round of matches will be played on Tuesday where Junior Japan faces Samoa A at 2.30pm after which Fijian Warriors meets Tonga A at 5pm. All matches will be held at ANZ Stadium.
