The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team will take on Kenya in the Vancouver 7s final after defeating South Africa 15-12 in the semifinal this morning.

Kenya upset Las Vegas 7s champion USA 24-19 to book their spot in the final.

Fiji came from behind to beat South Africa after replacement playmaker Amenoni Nasilasila scored the winning try with two minutes left on the clock.

The national side scored three tries with Josua Vakurinabili scoring the first, Kalione Nasoko crossing over for their second while Nasilasila sealed the win with the third try.

South Africa was leading 12-5 at halftime.

Fiji last met Kenya in the Singapore 7s final where Kenya won 30-7.

Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber believes they need to work harder on the breakdowns but he gave all the credit to his players for putting up a sterling performance against the South Africans.

Baber says they need to work on their mistakes when they play in the final.

The Vancouver 7s final between Fiji and Kenya will be held at 1.19pm today.

Looking at the other matches, England beat Australia 31-14 in the Challenge Trophy Final.

The Bronze Medal Final will be between South Africa and USA.
