The Fiji soccer team has beaten Tuvalu 10-1 in their fourth pool match at the Pacific Games.

Two goals each from Roy Krishna, Tito Vodowaqa and Christopher Wasasala while a goal each from Rusiate Matarerega, Remeru Takiate, Malakai Rakula and Kishan Sami ensured the side kept its chances to qualify for the final.

The win sees the side leapfrog New Caledonia into first position on goal difference with both teams having nine points each.

New Caledonia will play Tahiti in their fourth pool match at 6pm today.

The Bula Boys will now have to win their last pool match against the Solomon Islands on Thursday and hope that New Caledonia drops points in either of their remaining pool matches to have any hopes of reaching the final.

Fiji had earlier beaten Tahiti 2-1, American Samoa 9-0 while their only defeat came at the hands os New Caledonia by 1-0.
