Fiji Men’s 7s to meet PNG in the semi final after thrashing Solomon Islands 74-0

The Fiji Men’s 7s team are through to the semi final of the 2023 Pacific Games 7s competition after demolishing the Solomon Islands 74-0 last night.

Fiji scored 6 tries in the first half through Netava Koroisau who scored two tries, Suliano Volivolituevei, Sakiusa Siqila, Joji Nasova and Alusio Vakadranu to lead 36-0 at half-time.

The second half was more of the same as the first with Fiji scoring 6 more tries through Rupeni Kabu, Ropate Rere, Iliavi Masori, Isimeli Tikomaimereke with Waisea Lawebuka scoring a double.

The Fiji Men’s team will play PNG at 2.48pm today in the semi finals.

The gold medal final will be at 9 tonight.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s will meet Tonga at 12.24pm today in the semi finals and the final will be at 8.12 tonight.
