EFL to conduct critical repair works on burnt power pole along EFL’s 33,000 Volts transmission line

Energy Fiji Limited will be conducting critical repair works on a burnt power pole along EFL’s 33,000 Volts transmission line from EFL’s Nacocolevu Zone Substation to the Korolevu Zone Substation and residences along these areas can expect power outages from 9pm to 6am tomorrow.

EFL say in order to carry out the repair on the burnt power pole, their engineers will need to de-energise the 33,000 Volts transmission line from the Nacocolevu 33kV Zone Substation to Korolevu 33kV Zone Substation.

Power supply to the Coral Coast and surrounding areas will be switched off for safety reasons to allow EFL teams to carry out maintenance works on the 33,000 Volts transmission line.

Affected areas include Sovi Bay, Vatukarasa, Balenabelo Settlement, Koroinasau Primary School, Namada Village, Tambua Sands, Hide–A–Way Resort, Digicel Hide–A– Way, Tagaqe Village, Tagaqe Old Forestry Station, Valase, Maui Bay Estate, Nagasau Settlement, Votualailai Village, Digicel Votualailai, Naviti Resort, Votua Housing, Votua Village, Vilisite Restaurant, Villa Del Cowrie, Jafau Settlement, Korolevu Settlement, Korolevu Health Centre, Korolevu Police Post, Korolevu Post Office, Qalitu Settlement, Korolevu Shopping Centre, Bila Settlement, Biausevu Village, Digicel Warwick, Vodafone Warwick, Warwick Reservoir, and The Warwick Resort.
