Minister for Women, Social Welfare and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Jiko Luveni will be one of the candidates in Prime Minister, Rear Admiral Voreqe Bainimarama's new party in the general elections this year.
This was revealed by Bainimarama during a talanoa session in Vatoa village in Lau in front of more than 80 villagers.
Bainimarama told the villagers that Luveni has accepted his request to join his party.
Bainimarama and Luveni were part of a Government delegation visiting four villagers in the Lau group.
Bainimarama had earlier confirmed that he will register his political party next month.
