Cunningham Stage 2 residents raise concerns over months of rubbish collection delay

Concerns have been raised by the residents of Biau Drive in Cunningham Stage 2 regarding the non-collection of rubbish in their area for the past two months, with no action taken by the Suva City Council.

Residents told fijivillage News that some rubbish is nearly blocking the main driveway along the main road, posing safety hazards and inconveniences for both motorists and pedestrians.

They claim that despite repeated complaints, the Council seem to ignore it.

One resident said they were tired of waiting and the waste not only looks bad, but it also attracts pests and has created a health risk for their families which is unacceptable.

We have sent questions to SCC and the Minister for Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, but they have yet to respond.
