Queen Victoria School, Dreketi High School and Kadavu Provincial School are locked at first place in the boys division after the first hour of competition in the 2011 Coca Cola Games.
They are followed by Ba Sanatan College, Ba Provincial College and Nakauvadra Secondary School with a silver each while Marist, Suva Grammar School and Khalsa College have a bronze each.
In the girls division, Nadarivatu lead with one gold.
QVS athlete, Emosi Bure won the Tailevu school’s first gold medal in the Senior Boys 1,500 metres event as he caused a major upset in the last hour.
Josese Rabesa of Dreketi High School also caused a big upset in the 1,500 metres Junior Boys event.

In the girls Open 1,500 metres event, Nadarivatu Secondary School’s Mereseini Naidau won gold while Adi Cakobau School’s Akesa Drotini and Suva Grammar School's Nohela Taqai were unplaced.
The 400 metres heats are currently underway.
This will be followed by the 200 metres heats.
The 100 metres heats kick off at 5pm today.
The 100 metres finals will start at 7.25pm tonight.
