China has been and will always remain a friend of Fiji.

This was stressed by Permanent Secretary of Industry, Trade and Tourism Shaheen Ali while speaking at the Trade Commission/Consulate General of Fiji in China’s New Year’s reception.

Over 30 prominent Chinese businesses attended the reception, which included, the Wanda Reign Hotel, Wyndham Silkroad (Fiji) Pte Investment Limited, Distributors of Fijian beer and Pure Fiji beauty products, to name a few.

He says the Fijian Government is fully committed to developing new markets and building new trade relations by engaging with China.

Ali says the Trade Commission/Consulate General will redouble its efforts to bring in more Fijian made products and services to the Chinese market.

He adds their efforts of promoting the Fijian Made brand has contributed to the introduction of premium products, such as beer, beauty products and bottled water, in the Chinese market.
