National Federation Party’s candidate Parmod Chand and FijiFirst General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum

National Federation Party’s candidate Parmod Chand says they don’t want a two-men government and one Minister to hold many portfolios while FijiFirst General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says people should see what the country has achieved and every party has its own leadership team.

While speaking at the NFP campaign meeting in Muanidevo, Labasa, Chand says their leader has said that they have candidates in the Party who are Minister material.

Chand says they will continue to give people all the benefits that they are currently getting and the NFP will also urgently work on a bypass road in Vanua Levu to ease traffic flow.

He says they were also discussing to make a road from Korotari to Savusavu which will reduce travel time.

Chand also told around 150 people in Muanidevo not to fear what he terms FijiFirst’s threats.

He says only two people are telling them what to do, where to go, how to do and when to do things.

When questioned on Straight Talk on FijiFirst political opponents saying that it is a two men government while others are seat warmers, FijiFirst General Secretary, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says he can turn around and ask the same question to other political parties.

Sayed-Khaiyum believes that some people think he represents the boogeyman while some may just don’t like him because he is close to the Prime Minister and sits next to him in parliament.
