Cabinet approves National Minimum Wage Review

Cabinet has approved the renewal of the National Minimum Wage and the ten sectoral minimum Wage Regulations.

They say this will also include the proposal of new job classifications within the current Wages Regulations.

Cabinet says the review will be undertaken by selected local consultants whereby the outcome of the review exercise will be brought back to Cabinet for consideration.

The current minimum wage rate is $4 per hour which came into effect on 1st January, 2023.
