Blues Coach, Leon MacDonald could not find much to complain about, despite his side slipping six points behind the Crusaders in the title race.

The Crusaders beat the Blues 26-15 last night in the Super Rugby Aotearoa.

MacDonald says they chucked everything at the Crusaders and came really close and he is really proud of the effort.

He says the Crusaders were outstanding as well.

The Blues led from wing Mark Telea’s 11th minute try until the 62nd minute, when Crusaders fly-half Richie Mo’unga converted Mitchell Drummond’s second-half try.

From there, the Crusaders did what they do, tighten the vise and put teams away, with Will Jordan’s late try denying the visitors a losing bonus point.

In the game today, the Hurricanes will face the Highlanders at 3.35pm.
