Black Panther has won the biggest award at the 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards that honors the best in film and television performances and that is Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
The Super hero Marvel film also won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.
Rami Malek’s portrayal of Queen’s lead singer Freddy Mercury on Bohemian Rhapsody won him Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role while Glen Close won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for the movie The Wife.
NBC’s “This is Us” won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Sandra Oh’s performance in Killing Eve won her the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series and the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series was awarded to Jason Bateman for his role in Ozark.
Emily Blunt won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a supporting Role for her film “a Quiet Place” while Mahershala Ali bagged the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting role in the movie “Green Book”.
The SAG Awards hold special significance among actors, because they represent praise from their peers, voted upon by fellow performers for their work in film and television.
