Transparency International in Fiji is today calling on the Interim Prime Minister to take urgent action to ensure the tax evasion allegations against a certain interim minister is fully investigated.
Transparency International Chairman, Hari Pal Singh said the allegations have existed for months and the relevant interim minister should resign to allow for the investigations to be held without any interference.
Singh also said the FIRCA board should take action now.
Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Bainimarama had earlier said the identity of the interim minister and evidence should be forwarded to FIRCA for necessary checks.
