Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues and things are expected to get tougher weeks and months ahead, Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says all fiscal measures will be announced in the budget.

Sayed-Khaiyum says people will find out about the fiscal measures in the budget when Fijivillage asked him on whether the government is looking at cost-cutting measures in the civil service.

It was earlier stated by Sayed-Khaiyum that the government spends $4 million a day on wages and salaries of civil servants and members of the disciplined forces.
