Fijian singing sensation Akanisi Vakaloloma also known as Aggie is releasing her debut album “Noqu Dodomo Vou” this Saturday.

Aggie says the inspiration behind the album is a new found love for her two sons who inspire her to do better everyday.

The album features 12 original songs.

Four of those songs have been released so far as singles.

They are 'Na Luvequ'; 'Duibana Ni Burotukula'; ‘Isa Mama’ and 'Toso Mai'.

She says the album has been four years in the making and nine out of the 12 songs were recorded and produced by Simione Rova with George Wasile, Krishan Ahaan Singh and Junjay Delai recording and producing each of the remaining three songs.

Her album and life story will be showcased at its official launch - “Aggie Under the Stars” - a live concert supported by the fast-growing retail store, The Merch in support of micro, small and medium enterprises and artists.

Aggie’s creative director Epi Nasaroa says the night will feature beautiful live performances from Aggie with a mixture of English and Fijian covers and her originals from the debut album.

The show will also feature an exclusive 1-hour shopping and sneak preview into The Merch’s new stock of pre-loved items.

Tickets are $150.
