ACSOG celebrates 75 years of legacy

Acting Prime Minister Gavoka

To mark the legacy of Adi Cakobau School's 75th anniversary, the Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Service, Viliame Gavoka today launched the Matua Project during the Adi Cakobau School Old Girls Sparkling Diamonds Garden Party celebration that was held at Borron House this afternoon.

Acting Prime Minister Gavoka says he is proud of the ACS Old Girls Association which took the initiative to embark on a journey to provide quality education and shape the minds and hearts of countless students.

He says by recognising the rich legacy as an institution, their founding values and principles have stood the test of time.

He adds that he is proud of the pioneers of the organisation as they have set high standards that many others aspire to emulate on daughters who have become wives, mothers, grandmothers and even great-grandmothers.

Gavoka says ACS has nurtured diplomats, career civil servants, doctors, teachers, business women, all of whom have contributed to our nation.

The newly launched Matua Project is a digital storytelling initiative that documents the stories and lessons of ACS elders and allows the younger generations that will attend the school to be able to access the resources of the Matua Project.

The Acting Prime Minister also launched the school’s website -adicakobauschool.com and the ACSOG website acsog.org
