More than 30 teachers of Adi Cakobau School in Sawani have been reminded on their teaching role and how they can address substance abuse in school during a presentation on Substance Abuse Awareness by the National Substance Abuse Advisory Council team that visited the school.
School Principal Salote Nawalowalo said this is an important term for the students to prepare for external examination and not involve in substance abuse.
She adds teachers need to understand what the students go through especially if they have been abused or are taking substances that hinder their learning.
