95% of the people residing in Lakena Number 1 and 2 Hills in Nausori have received their food ration packs from the government while the remaining families are currently receiving the packs.

Advisory Councillor, Farook Khan says they managed to receive the assistance yesterday and are ensuring those who are in need receive the packs.

He also confirms that some families also tried to obtain more than one ration pack and they are ensuring that this does not happen.

There are 476 houses in Lakena Number 1 and 2 Hills and most residents are not working since the start of the containment zones.

There are also some people from Lakena who have tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result, 22 households are in self-isolation for 14 days.
