2,755 students have so far applied for scholarships and loans with the Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Board.

The Board has confirmed that applications are still open for the National Toppers Local Scholarship, Scholarship Scheme for Students with Special Needs and Tertiary Education Loans Scheme for new students and Technical College of Fiji Students, until 24th January 2021.

Currently, 1,526 students have applied for National Toppers Local Scholarship Scheme, 976 students have applied for TELS for the first time while 142 existing TELS students have also applied.

TSLB says students who have completed Year 12 or 13 in 2020, are reminded that they must register and apply before 24th January 2021 even if they do not have their results, final program offer letter, rent or hostel agreement or evidence of residential address from where they will be travelling for classes.

They say students will still be given time until 19th February 2021 to upload their Year 12 or 13 results, final program offer letter and all other requirements.

TSLB also requested students who are facing difficulties in applying, particularly those from the areas affected by TC Yasa to contact the TSLB Office nearest to them for assistance.
