Save the Children Fiji will provide over 2,200 underprivileged children with school bags and stationary items this year.
CEO Shairana Ali says they have already distributed the items in the Central, Eastern and Western Divisions while distribution in the Northern Division is expected to complete this week.
Ali says that despite closing the applications, they are still receiving late applications which will result in them assisting more students.
She adds they will also assist children who lose their school items due to fires or natural disasters throughout the year.
